Q. If I plan to graduate Summer 2016, can I participate in the ceremony on June 13th?

A. Yes, first, make sure you have applied for your degree in Duckweb for the actual term that you plan on finishing ALL requirements. The next step is to fill out the online Economics RSVP form.

Q. If I graduated Fall 2015 or Winter 2016, what do I need to do in order to walk with my classmates in the Economics Department ceremony on June 13th?

A. Confirm your attendance by filling out the Undergrad (Bachelors) Economics RSVP form.

Q. What if I already filled out the Registration/RSVP form, but I need to update the information?

A. If you need to update your ceremony registration information, please email your changes to econstudent@uoregon.edu

Ceremony Day FAQs

Q. If I want to participate in the department ceremony, do I have to wear the UO regalia (cap & gown)?

A. Yes.  While the ceremony is not mandatory for you to participate in, if you choose to walk, you must have the duckstore regalia.  Visit the main campus Duck Store for more information or visit their website here.

Q. What time should I arrive to the department ceremony?

A. You should arrive at least one half hour before the beginning of the ceremony which will begin promptly.  Reference the commencement map to locate the Memorial Quad (between PLC & Schnitzer Museum).

Q. Where should I check-in when I arrive to the department’s ceremony?

A. Graduates should gather on at the Memorial Quad on graduation day. There will be a sign-in table to pick up your name card. Our staff will also be present to assist graduates with questions.

Q. Where will my diploma be mailed and when?

A. Diplomas will be mailed to the address listed as your Diploma Address in Duckweb. Please make sure this address listed in Duckweb is accurate! Diplomas are mailed to successful degree recipients 10–12 weeks after graduation.

The address your diploma is sent to depends on your DuckWeb application.  You can verify and update this on DuckWeb by selecting the  Personal Info tab > Update Address > scroll to the bottom to “Insert RO Diploma Address” if you do not already have one listed there.  If you did not include a diploma address, it is mailed to your permanent address.
