Economics Majors

Current Economics Majors

Those currently pursuing either a BA or BS in Economics should continually verify that they are satisfying all core and major requirements. It is advised that Economics majors meet with a general academic advisor at least once a year, and with an Economics peer advisor or faculty member at least once in the course of their studies at UO. In addition, if you are looking to specialize in a certain area of economics, remember that we have seven different professional concentrations:

  1. Business Economics - Banking and Finance
  2. Business Economics - Management, Marketing, and Accounting
  3. Economics and Public Policy and Administration
  4. Environmental Economics
  5. Graduate Preparation in Economics and Mathematical Economics
  6. International and Development Economics
  7. Law and Economics and Political Economy

In addition, Economics majors may use the Major Progress Worksheet to individually track their completion of requirements.

Please make sure you are registered as an Economics major. You may find this information on your Duckweb account. If you are not registered but wish to pursue an Economics major, please come into the Department office in 435 PLC and fill out the proper form, or email Brenda Crume with your name, student ID number, and request for major.
