Why a government job?

Government agencies at all levels look for analysts with economic backgrounds, who are used to help assess important public policies, to gather and analyze data to better inform the public, and to help with government budgets. While government jobs generally do not have the same long-term salary potential as careers in the private sector, they generally come with good benefits, better job security, and the satisfaction that can come from public service.
